"M" is for male - threads on outside
"F" is for female - threads on inside
"IP" is for iron pipe measurement

¼-27 is the thread size on top of the harp finials noted as ¼-27 will screw directly onto the harp post.  Finials marked 1/8 IP need a reducing bushing (our #5020) to fit the harp post.
